Tiina Haapiainen

Tiina is a Finn studying psychology and business at the University of Stirling. In 2008 she completed a Sport Massage therapy training in Finland and continues working as a massage therapist in Helsinki during her holidays. She initially found Ashtanga Yoga in 2000 in Amsterdam and returned to practicing in Finland a couple of years later. Yoga not only provided relief to a chronic muscular pain condition but also helped her to find tools to listen to the body and mind as a holistic entity. She has been practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in India during three travels and completed the Teacher's Training with her teacher in 2009. Tiina is especially interested in introducing yoga to people that have very little or no experience in caring for their health. It is never too late to make a lifestyle change!

Angus Robertson PMAS

Angus has recently changed his career from that of an engineer to that of a massage therapist. Angus experienced back pain for twenty years before finding a gifted massage therapist who showed him the way to pain free life through massage treatments and Pilates exercises. This experience inspired him to train in massage for himself and he qualified in therapeutic massage in December 2008 with the Scottish School of Professional Massage . He now looks at his new career as 're-engineering' the human body through holistic body work. Angus also holds certificates in Reiki and Indian Head Massage.

Gillian Lester

Gillian trained as a yoga teacher with Chill Out Yoga in Aberfoyle and her teaching style reflects an integrative approach, incorporating breathwork, relaxation techniques and postures from differing aspects of Hatha yoga. Her easy manner makes her classes fun and enjoyable. She started to practice yoga 8 years ago, to aid her recovery after an accident and has been practicing ever since. After several years of mid-distance running, she has recently completed her first marathon and her Yoga for Runners course will initially be a series of 6 sessions aimed at developing stamina and endurance and to help stay injury-free, all of which are important factors in improving performance. The course is suitable for anyone, no previous yoga experience necessary and you don't have to have broken any race records or to have run a marathon to benefit from it!

Tracy MacFarlane

Tracy first began to practise yoga whilst travelling 10 years ago, as it helped her remain grounded during this time. She completed her first teacher training at the Chakra Yoga Center in Koh Phangan, Thailand, in 2003, and learned about the manipulation of chakra energies through asana, pranayama, chanting, visualization, mantra, and meditation. Tracy continued to develop her own practise, as yoga is a very individual experience that needs to be observed from within. She went on to complete an additional course with Chill-Out Yoga in Aberfoyle, Scotland, in 2008/2009, and found that it was a nice balance to her previous training. She became pregnant during this time, so she began to focus her studies on how yogic principals would help with a more comfortable pregnancy and labour. She has since taught a workshop about Pregnancy Yoga, and has been teaching Pregnancy Yoga classes in the Strathblane area.

Fiona Campbell

Fiona studied with The College of Holistic Medicine in Glasgow for 5 years, gaining qualifications in; therapeutic massage, reflexology, counselling, relaxation techniques, breath work and stress management. She graduated with a Diploma 1995. She has had a great deal of experience doing various massage work and counselling over the last 20 years, having worked with all ages; from baby massage, children and teenagers, to the elderly. Deep Therapeutic Massage has been her main tool and with the deep physical work occasionally releasing emotional holding or trauma she has needed to utilise her counselling skills to help clients on a deeper emotional/mental level when necessary. She has recently completed a Yoga course and believes yoga therapy complements the massage work very effectively. She is taking Yoga classes at the Coneyhill Studio, and available for 1:1 tuition. The yoga style is similar to Hatha yoga, she also leads wonderful meditation classes.
